Larry Foster is a retired journalist specializing in energy issues. For more than threedecades he was a reporter, editor and global editorial director based in Washington, DCfor a major publishing company, covering energy policy, regulation and markets. He hasextensive background in energy and environmental matters in the executive,congressional and judicial branches.Larry holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Rhode Islandand University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively. His interest in public lands issuesdates to working for five summers during and after college at a Youth ConservationCorps camp in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in his nativePennsylvania. Larry has volunteered for the National Park Service as a trail steward attwo park units outside Washington, DC and in recent years has backpacked and hikedin Utah and Arizona, including Grand Staircase Escalante. He lives in Broomfield, COwith his wife Nancie Connolly.
