Larry Foster is a retired journalist specializing in energy issues. For more than three decades he was a reporter, editor and global editorial director based in Washington, DC for a major publishing company, covering energy policy, regulation and markets. He has extensive background in energy and environmental matters in the executive, congressional and judicial branches. Larry holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Rhode Island and University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively. His interest in public lands issues dates to working for five summers during and after college at a Youth ConservationCorps camp in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in his native Pennsylvania. Larry has volunteered for the National Park Service as a trail steward at two park units outside Washington, DC and in recent years has backpacked and hiked in Utah and Arizona, including Grand Staircase Escalante. He lives in Broomfield, CO with his wife Nancie Connolly.
