Though he was born in California, the wild and diverse landscape of Utah is where Gabe feels most at home.  Whether in the mountains or the desert, it is his passion to bring people together through our shared connection to this landscape.  In addition to his passion for conservation biology, Gabe also fosters a love of storytelling through film.  He combined these interests during his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, which led him to direct a short documentary about the dying of the Great Salt Lake.  He spends much of his free time hiking, volunteering with other environmental non-profits, watching movies, and identifying bugs he finds.
