Connecting to plants through conservation and nourishment is what led Kaylee to invest in her love for nature. The wisdom of plants used in food as medicine sparked her interest in studying for a degree in Plant Science, which she received from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work as a botanist throughout California and chef for workshops and retreats stem from her desire to support her community through learning about plants. The joys of hiking in remote areas, learning about species for conservation efforts, and giving back to the land which sustains us has led her to work with GSEP.
